Chip Dircks began his career in the 1970’s as a mover and has learned the business from the ground up. Responsible for moving companies throughout the United States, Chip developed expertise in operations and administration. In 1990, he started Dircks Moving Services along with his brother Rick and is accountable for all of the company’s activities.
Chip is active in a number of industry related organizations. In May of 2009, he was named to the Board of Directors of UniGroup, Inc., the parent company of Mayflower Transit. He currently sits on the board of the moving industry’s trade group, the American Moving and Storage Association, and he is also on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Trucking Association. In addition, Chip is a member of the Ho Ho Kams, a civic organization in Mesa, and in 1998 he was awarded the Arizona Business Leadership Award from Arizona State University. Chip was recently elected Chairman of the AZ Transportation Education Foundation (ATEF) Board of Directors.
Chip lives in Chandler with his wife Patty and has one son, Matt.
Rick Dircks has been in the moving industry for nearly 30 years. In that time, Rick has worked in various sales and management positions throughout the western United States. Rick is responsible for all Sales and Marketing activities for Dircks and personally manages certain accounts.
Rick is very involved in industry and community entities. He is currently the Board Chair, for a second consecutive term, for the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in Central, Northern and Western Arizona, a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for WESTMARC, the Arizona State University President’s Club and the Fiesta Bowl.
Rick lives in Chandler with his wife Robin and children, Madison and Morgan.
As Vice President of Operations, Guy Reynolds wears a lot of different hats: from managing the truck fleet, scheduling, warehousing and everything in between. Guy brings an impressive 29 years of industry experience to Dircks, having begun his career in 1985 and, along the way, learning everything about the business from the ground up. This is Guy’s second stint with Dircks.
One of his favorite tales is the time he packed, loaded, and moved a collection of Jade carvings from the Ming Dynasty.
Guy moved to Arizona in 1998 after having lived in Cleveland, Ohio for most of his life. Guy and his wife, Maria Belsan-Reynolds, have two daughters, three sons and five grandchildren!
Brandon joined the Dircks Corporate Sales Team in September 2000 and is a graduate of The University of Iowa. One of the most interesting stories he has about the industry is when US Airways hired Dircks to manage the logistics and moving for the America West/US Airways merger. Brandon was part of the team who decommissioned 3 facilities and opened 4 new ones. Over a 9 month period this team managed office moves for over 3500 people, more than 60 truckloads of record storage and an IT upgrade project that required picking up equipment at over 100 airports around the country and delivering to recycling facilities on the coasts. Brandon is a Rotary member and committee chair and is also in the Iowa Alumni Association. He is married with one child and two dogs.
Brandon has been in the industry for 18 years and is a certified project manager. He was awarded Dircks Sales Person of the Year in 2001,2005 and 2009. He is also a Member of CoreNet and CoreNet Young Leaders and a Board Member of the Commercial Relocation Network (CRN).
Gary joined the Dircks Corporate Sales Team in November 2009 and is a graduate of Phoenix College with 2 years at ASU . He has worked in the industry for about 18 years and handles electronic and high value equipment transportation as well as server and rack migration into data centers. He and his wife Sandy have one son, Matthew. Their family also includes two dogs, Bailey and Zak (a Prescott rescue dog).
Jeff has 19 years of direct moving industry experience, with an additional 12 years in transportation, distribution and logistics. Although Jeff started in household goods by packing, loading and driving, it was early in his career that he realized that commercial relocation, project management and logistics were really where his heart was. Jeff is the third generation in a family of movers, having started from the ground up sweeping floors in his father’s warehouse: a Mayflower Agency in Buffalo, NY. At 21, Jeff bought his first truck, a 1972 Brockway, and spent some time hauling furniture and enjoying the opportunity to meet some great people and to see all of the contiguous United States. Before moving to Arizona, Jeff managed the operations of a Mayflower agent in Utah and settled there, learning project management, warehousing and distribution.
In 2007, Jeff and his wife, Sue, “came home” to Sue’s native Arizona. In 2008, they adopted “Harley,” a rather exuberant black lab “pup,” and started providing for his care and comfort. Jeff and Sue have volunteered for many years with the international youth organizations of Job’s Daughters and DeMolay, and they continue to work actively to assist in providing educational opportunities for young men and women. Jeff is a former chairman of the Bountiful City (Utah) Planning Commission and has served as Chairman of the Utah Masonic Youth Foundation.
Janet brings with her over 15 plus years of experience working in sales. The largest portion of her career was in the real estate industry, where she focused on multi-family, commercial sales.
In her role as Relationship Manager, Janet is responsible for opening new doors and maintaining major Corporate Relocation & Logistic accounts and representing Dircks Moving & Logistics in the business community.
Janet is originally from Portland, Oregon. She met her husband Brian there and together they moved and started their lives in Orange County, California. They have two children, Samantha and Fletcher. They have resided in Arizona since 2007 and love the desert lifestyle!
Kimber brings one and a half years of moving experience to Dircks but more importantly 16 years of experience in transportation and warehousing. She coordinates all the office and industrial moves, as well as, the special product shipments. Kimber is a founding member of a Yahoo support group for parents of children with Type 1 Diabetes – email@example.com . Her family supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and has had a family support walk team for 6 years now called Rory’s Rascals. Her family also supports the American Diabetes Foundation (ADA) and she has personally met with herr local congressmen to discuss the importance of continuing to support nurses in all Arizona public schools. Her son, Rory, was diagnosed with T1D at the age of five and he is now 11 years old. Kimber also coach’s girl’s volleyball for the city of Goodyear.
Kimber is married with 2 children, 2 dogs and 3 ferrets.
Juli has been in the moving industry for about 20 years. She likes working with customers and hearing the different priorities and concerns each has about the move process.
She is very involved with a small group at her church, and they have volunteered at soup kitchens, raised donations for various charities and host toy drives.
Juli and her husband Jeff have two daughters Morgan and Carly, and two cats Sophie and Mocha.
Steve Hook has been in the moving industry for about 21 years now. One memorable moment of his is with a customer at their dining room table and noticing a U.S. Open trophy. The customer was golfer Steve Jones.
Steve has been married for 24 year and has two dogs: Sophie and Macie.
Jim has over 38 years of experience in sales and marketing for the moving industry in the Phoenix area. Jim specializes in working with the senior communities in Sun City, Sun City West, Sun City Grand, Sun City Festival and Surprise. Jim really enjoy his clients especially when it comes to assisting them with formulating a move plan that will make yet another transition in their lives as easy and hopefully as stress-free as possible.
When not spending time with their kids and grandchildren, Jim and his wife Kay we have assisted their church with disadvantaged families in Granada Estates in the West Valley. They assist with house upkeep including yard work, painting, repairs etc. and also help provide transportation as needed.
Jim and Kay have been married for 28 years and have three beautiful children, two gorgeous daughters-in-law and three awesome grandchildren with one on the way.
Michael has seen many sides of the moving industry. He spent ten years as a packer and mover, and 21 years as a COD sales representative. He has had back to back moves and feels that his professional experience, along with his experience in moving himself, helps him identify and relate to the customer’s experience.
Tim has a robust experience in distribution and fulfillment. He has worked with customers to develop, implement, and manage both B2B and B2C solutions. Tim has managed direct-to-consumer solutions for pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, and subscription-based companies. He has developed sophisticated solutions for customers entailing IT integration, compliance with government regulations, serial number and lot control, and reverse logistics. Tim and the rest of the Dircks Logistics team look forward to working with you to customize a logistics solution to suit your business needs.
Alicia brings the Dircks family a wealth of industry experience after having spent 10 years with two Atlas Van Lines’ agents, Ace and Alexander’s. Alicia is originally from Southern California, and has also lived for a number of years in Dallas, TX. She was also on the road as an owner-operator for Budd Van Lines, bringing a great perspective of what the customer goes through in the moving process.
Alicia just recently moved to Phoenix, so this is her first experience with the “dry heat.” In her free time, Alicia loves to cook, travel, explore her new home of Phoenix and spend time with her family.
Dave has a distinguished 16-year career in the moving industry, with experience in customer service, management and operations. Dave’s passion for building and maintaining relationships makes him a great asset to the Dircks team!
When Dave is not at the office he enjoys being active and spending time with his family and friends. Dave and his wife, Melissa, have two sons, Jack and Ben. He enjoys all sports activities with the boys especially when he is coaching!
Kathy has over 20 years of experience in the moving industry as a national account coordinator for household goods and international. She has spent the last 10 years as a Relocation Counselor.
Kathy is thrilled to have joined the Dircks team this year as a Relocation Support Specialist (Inside Sales). Her favorite part is when she is able to interact with the customers.
When Kathy is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, who include her husband, two children, two stepchildren, four grandchildren, two dogs. Safe to say Kathy is just as popular with her large family circle as she is at Dircks!
Sara is our residential move coordinator. She deals with local, interstate, and intrastate moves.
As the main contact with customers throughout the moving process, Sara uses her retail experience to make sure the customer is always happy. Meeting new people and providing excellence customer service is what keeps Sara motivated everyday!
Sara has been with her husband for almost 6 years, 4 of which he was away serving our country. Now that he is home they enjoy going to the movies, having barbecues and playing/watching sports. Their family is made complete with the company of their “kids” 5 dogs! Roxie, Bella, Bruce, Nala and Squishy.
