A Mouse Move

Challenge – write a lead article about our brand new website. Make it compelling enough that readers will stop reading this story and visit www.Dircks.com Insert pregnant pause here.
Well what did you think?

I hope you all don’t mind a little levity as the task of promoting a new website albeit here, on paper (or on your computer screen), can be quite challenging. But in this world of digital output and input, it is expected; expected that every business have a great profile online and in the digital space. And I can tell you without hesitation that we’re most proud of our latest website. But more on that in a minute.

The moving industry is certainly changing. As we recognized in the last edition of The Dircks Insider, we’re currently celebrating our 25th year in business.  As we can attest, yes, times they are a changin’ and certainly moving in the right direction so that we can do business much like other industries. Gone are the days of enlisting a moving company via the phone book or Yellow Pages. Today, like millions of businesses, a company must be represented and represented well online. We do this with our website, our output on social media channels and certainly by being responsive to what’s being said about our company interactively.

Most importantly, we try each and every day, with every job, to manage our reputation by performing the duties and services of a move to the absolute best of our ability. Now more than ever, our performance will dictate our presence online. Every mover, driver and staff member understands this and therefore, our new website was a collaboration with every department at Dircks. I can take a smidgen of credit for the look and feel of the new site (don’t forget you can scroll up and down/vertically) but it was the collective effort that really helped shape the functionality of the site.  So take a scroll through our new site and if you have a minute, let me know what you think.  I’ll be sure to send your comments to our entire organization. Happy surfing!
