Dircks Moving Services, in a move designed to service their customer’s growing business requirements, announced today the acquisition of McCollister’s Transportation Systems Southwest, located in Phoenix, Arizona. The combination of Phoenix’s two largest Mayflower agents enables Dircks to increase their moving, storage and logistics capabilities. Dircks, Mayflower’s President’s Quality Award winner for 2009, will integrate the two company’s operations at their current location and retain the McCollister’s facility near Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. The sale was effective as of November 1, 2009.
The acquisition will allow Dircks to continue to emphasize its leadership position in corporate and residential relocation services. The move allows McCollister’s to strategically refocus its efforts on broadening its national service offerings and is yet another in a progressive series of measures by McCollister’s designed to expand core businesses without sacrificing service capability or quality.
“Dircks is very excited about our growth with this addition and our ability to serve our customers in all facets of their business. Despite the current economy, this will serve us very well now and in the future”, said Chip Dircks, President of Dircks Moving.
President and CEO of McCollister’s, H. Daniel McCollister noted, “While we continue emphasizing reliability in service to our existing customers, our company is simultaneously positioning itself for growth and success anticipating our nation’s economic recovery. This step is important as it increases the available resources we utilize on behalf of our clients. Ultimately, it will enhance the client experience and directly and positively impact our nationwide capabilities as we continue to grow.”
